2. What we process

3. Artificial intelligence
Menus, recipes, tips and photo recognition are produced by AI models from Anthropic (text and vision) and Google (recipe images) through our servers in the European Union (Google Cloud, Belgium). We send only what the request needs (e.g. your diet type and calorie target, never your name or email). Under their API terms these providers do not use your data to train their models. AI suggestions are informational and do not replace advice from a healthcare professional.
4. Processors and transfers
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, functions, notifications; EU-hosted where the service allows), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Anthropic and Google AI (AI), and Apple App Store / Google Play (payments). Some providers are in the US; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
5. Retention
We keep your data while you have an account. If you delete it, your profile, history, progress photos and login are erased immediately (backups within 30 days). Photos sent to the AI are not stored. AI usage logs are deleted after 90 days.
6. Your rights
You may access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing and request portability by writing to info@nuvvu.eu. In the app you can edit your profile and delete your account (Profile → Settings → Delete account). You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.
7. Children
DietChef is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from younger children and will delete such accounts if detected.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored on Google Cloud with access rules allowing each user to read and write only their own data. AI service keys are never in the app, only on our server.
9. Changes
Changes will be published here and, when material, announced in the app.
